Meet Our Team: Devon DeLuke

Devon DeLuke started his career in the surveying industry in 2006 while studying for his Civil Engineering degree at Hudson Valley Community College.
During his time at the college, he took a few survey classes and pursued an internship preparing drawings with the New York State Department of Transportation.

Devon has worked on some exciting projects for clients such as the New York State Department of Transportation, Global Foundries,
New York City Department of Design and Construction, New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, and several other Federal and State agencies.
One of Devon’s most interesting projects was the St. Patrick’s Church in Watervliet, NY. During this project, he worked on HABS drawings made from 3D scan data.
The drawings were used to create elevation views and blueprints documenting the historic building before it was demolished.

“I’m always excited and interested to learn new technologies and new ways of completing our work as surveyors.” – Devon DeLuke

Recently, Devon became an FAA Part 107 certified UAV pilot. With this certification, Devon has been working with our UAV Division
developing new ways to incorporate UAVs into surveying and helping other employees become accredited. The UAV division provides
aerial mapping, inspection, marketing, construction, and renewable energy services.

Devon is excited to become more involved in UAV services and all the new technologies that are being developed. Devon is also working
toward becoming a Project Manager as well as attaining his Professional Surveyor License.

“I enjoy coming into work every day and plan on having a long career here at Control Point.” – Devon DeLuke
