Staten Island, NY
Control Point Associates, Inc. prepared a survey of the 675-acre GATX property in Staten Island, New York. The project is one of the largest undeveloped areas in New York City adjacent to the Goethals Bridge. The site is being developed into a marine port and a logistics center, with warehouses to store goods. Initial services included a boundary survey of the site focused on locating tank farm infrastructure and an aerial survey of site topography. ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey of the property including field location of sixty (60) easements crossing the site was performed. After the removal of the tank farm, Control Point Associates, Inc. staked out remediation areas for soil removal and replacement with clean fill. Additional work included establishing a grading survey for fill to be brought in to raise the land elevation above the 100-year flood plain. Personnel on-site carried US EPA 40-hour HazWoper Environmental certification.
