Minish Park

Newark, NJ

Control Point Associates, Inc. provided surveying and mapping services for Minish Park in Newark, New Jersey.  A boundary and topographic survey were conducted for multiple properties along 1 mile of the Passaic River between Bridge Street and the Jackson Street Bridge.  Metes and bounds descriptions were prepared for ten properties around the proposed park for land acquisition and easement creation purposes. The survey included the preparation of NJDEP Green Acres Diversion plans and tideland conveyance mapping and descriptions.  A railroad bridge survey of the existing raised overpass adjacent to Penn Station was conducted. The survey was completed by laser scanning the structure to create a 3D point could which was then utilized to prepare the 2D reflected ceiling plan of the City Dock Street/Amtrak Bridge.  Control Point Associates, Inc. also provided Subsurface Utility Engineering – Level A services, which included five test holes to expose and locate various utilities throughout the property.
